About Scott P. Richert

Photograph of Scott and Amy Richert at the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island, Michigan, in September 2019.

You may remember me as Executive Editor of Chronicles: A Magazine of American Culture, Catholicism Expert for About.com (now People, Inc.), Publisher at Our Sunday Visitor, and most recently (and currently) the English-Language Rights Representative for the Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn Estate. Over the last thirty years, I’ve written two books, numerous articles, and hundreds of columns, some of which you will find on this site, with more added weekly.

My wife, Amy, and I are both natives of Michigan (and frequent visitors to Mackinac Island, where the photograph above was taken). The proud parents of eight children and one grandchild, we are members of Saints Peter and Paul Parish in Huntington, Indiana, where we moved in 2017, after nearly twenty-two years in Rockford, Illinois.

In addition to writing The Countermarch, I work with apostolates, publishers, and Church leaders and organizations as an advisory consultant, using the experience I have gained in over three decades of publishing and nonprofit leadership to help other organizations overcome their challenges and achieve their goals. You can learn more about my consulting services at scottprichert.com.
